After an exhausting campaign period filled with calumny, propaganda, verbal and physical personal attacks, it is only right to use the bible to sway voters, no?
Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Reuben Abati, are the culprits of this electioneering stunt.
Both parties, who are respected journalists, used the medium of their Instagram pages to push the agenda of the parties they support; Momodu-APC and Abati-PDP.
Dele Momodu quoted Jeremiah 38:26 on his Instagram page, writing: “Then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house, to die there.”
While Reuben Abati quoted Proverbs 24:21-22, which says: “My son, fear the lord and the king; do not associate with those given to change; for their calamity will rise suddenly, and who know the ruin those two can bring?”
Well… now that the bible has been brought into the whole thing, it’s safe to say that- nothing is off-limits.
