The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said it was not involved in the recently concluded false declaration of assets case against Bukola Saraki.
The agency in a series of tweets on Thursday said it did not prosecute the case at the Code of Conduct Tribunal trial.
It also disowned counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, saying that he is an independent anti-corruption lawyer.
The EFCC said Jacob was not prosecuting the case on its behalf but for another organisation.
For our friends that do not know, the #EFCC was NOT prosecuting the Senate President.
