The petrol station inside the Sokoto state government House was gutted by fire on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire incident occurred while a petrol tanker was offloading its content.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Imam Imam, released a statement, explaining the incident.
He said: “On Tuesday, 27/10/2015, a tanker discharging fuel at a filling station within the perimeter wall of the Government House caught fire, resulting in damage to the vehicle.”
“Within a few minutes of the incident, men of the state fire service as well as water vendors close to the Government House mobilised to put out the fire. No life was lost, no injury recorded and no government property was adversely affected by the fire.”
