The government of Akwa Ibom state, has yet again stated that neither firearm nor stashed foreign currency was discovered during the raid of the government house by agents of the Directorate of State Services.
Akwa Ibom government says that the allegation stating otherwise, is a figment of the media’s active imagination.
On Monday, the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Aniekan Umanah, sought to address the matter and put it to bed.
The commissioner said Governor Udom Emmanuel, had repeatedly confirmed that nothing was found or taken away from Government House, Uyo.
“Let it be stated for the umpteenth time that no such thing was found or taken from our Government House.”
Umanah advised Nigerians against listening to rumours concocted by political jobbers and opportunists.
