A famous person once said “Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.”
This resonated throughout the gathering of the book launch of music legend; Innocent ‘2face’ Idibia, as the major players in the entertainment industry trooped in to honour the historical occasion.
The book titled ‘A Very Good Bad Guy’ which was written by media mogul, Ayeni Adekunle was presented to the public at the ever fascinating Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, at the event which was hosted by comedian, Tee A.
The book details personal experiences and interviews from those close to the African Queen singer, including his mother and wife; Anne Idibia.
Speaking at the event; 2face recounted how he retraced his steps back to the love of his life; Annie Idibia and how he mended his ways with her.
He said he knew he had messed up and had to go and beg for her forgiveness, which ultimately led to their amazing marriage.
Annie, who was present at the event, was noticeably blushing as 2face made the comments.
2face added that one thing in life is to not get distracted by anything; be it positive or negative.
The highlight of the event was when he narrated an experience that got him furious; when he got calls from people saying they heard he had given up the ghost. This narration sent the hall into rapturous laughter.
The biographer, Ayeni Adekunle said the inspiration behind the book ‘A Very Good Bad Guy’ was to give people an insight to 2face, the artist and Innocent Idibia, the man.
He added that the book would give readers the opportunity to choose a perspective on who 2face Idibia really is.
Among the attendees at the event were new parents; Tunji ‘Tee Billz’ and Tiwa ’Savage’ Balogun , Music couple Tunde and Wunmi Obe aka T.W.O, Capital Music rapper and The Goretti Company Boss; Ill Bliss, veteran comedian; Alibaba , Nollywoo Legend; RMD DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Spinall, Ace broadcaster; Olisa Adibua, 20/20 media boss Kamal Ajiboye, Sound Sultan and Ketchup.
