Senator Jim Nwobodo, a former governor of old Anambra State, has reportedly lost his son, Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, to cancer.

Ifeanyichukwu reportedly died at a private hospital in Enugu on Friday after returning from Houston, Texas, United States of America, where he had received treatment for the ailment.

Ebonyi State Governor, Martin Elechi, paid Nwobodo a condolence visit on Sunday, where he said that late Ifeanyichukwu was discharged after receiving treatment at one of the best cancer facilities in the US, before he returned to the country.

He revealed that the family had a thanksgiving service two weeks ago to mark Ifeanyichukwu’s recovery, before he suddenly passed on, after complaining of pain on his leg.

The late Ifeanyichukwu was a medical doctor who served as the commissioner for Science and Technology in the past state administration.
