Jade Osiberu’s Isoken has waltzed its way into the number one position of the YNaija Ranking for film this month. The movie which hit the cinemas on June 16th has garnered a lot of viewing and positive reviews from movie buffs. One reviewer described it as “an incredibly amazing story”, while another said it is the “most accurate movie about Chimamanda Adichie yet”. The movie which reportedly grossed N55m in 10 days was described as “funny” by our film blog.
Other new entrants into the top ten are AY Makun’s 10 Days in Sun City and Kunle Afolayan’s Roti. 10 Days in Sun City debut at the number seven position has had a lot of talk-ability on social media, while Roti, described as having an excellent cast by The Film Blog debut at the tenth position. The Wedding Party which previously held the number one position dropped to the second position, while Toyin Abraham’s Alakada Reloaded moved one spot to the number six position.
