Ministerial nomination: Tinubu, Okorocha possibly at loggerheads

There is speculation that another crisis may rock the boat of the All Progressives Congress.

There is a seeming ploy by former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, to nominate former chairman of Nigerian Breweries, Festus Odumegwu, as a ministerial candidate in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

It’s all speculations for now, anyway.

But the report says that the move, is unsettling Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha who sees himself as the leader of the APC in the South-east, being the sole representative of the region.

A source of ThisDay revealed that: “Already, the former Lagos State governor, who is popularly called the National Leader of the APC has taken Odumegwu to the president.”

Okorocha is the only governor from the South-east geopolitical zone who is a member of the APC and supported the administration of President Buhari in no small way, during the last elections.

The writer also alludes that Tinubu has a grand plan to assume control of the APC in all the regions, hence the plan to limit the influence of Okorocha.

Remember, it’s all speculations, but then, speculations are often times, the harbinger of a bigger tale.
