The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has announced his resignation as spokesman of the party and called it quit with the ruling party.

The former Youth Minister under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, disclosed this in a strongly worded statement released on Wednesday, citing usurpation of his position by the party’s leadership, amongst other issues.

Abdullahi is expected to join in the PDP, his mentor and political benefactor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, under whose tenure he served as the Special Assistant, Communication and Strategy in 2003; Special Adviser on Policy and Strategy in 2005, before he was subsequently appointed as the Kwara State Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology from 2007 to 2011.
