Three former Nigerian leaders, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) and General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) on Sunday met behind closed doors in Minna, the capital of Niger State.
According to Leadership the meeting held at Babaginda’s hilltop residence lasting for about two hours.
Obasanjo was received at the Minna airport by Niger governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, who took him to Babaginda’s house.
Abubakar and Babangida were already waiting upon Obasanjo’s arrival.
After the usual pleasantries, the Niger governor departed leaving the three elder statesmen.
The meeting lasted for over two hours before Obasanjo left the state at about 6:00pm.
A source close to one of the leaders said the discussions focused on key national issues.
