Ekiti state Muslims have been ordered to reject Sallah rams and other consumable gifts, from state governor, Ayo Fayose.
The instruction came from the League of Imams and Alfas in Ekiti.
The Muslims in the state, are apparently unhappy with Fayose, for neglecting them in his appointments.
The decision to not collect Fayose’s gifts, was arrived at during a meeting convened on Tuesday at Ansar-u-deen Society Central Mosque Odo–Otu, Ado Ekiti, to review the “deliberate marginalisation of Muslims in Ekiti State government political appointment.”
A communique issued at the end of the meeting, said, “Based on the above, the League, Ekiti State Council hereby resolve that: No Muslim in the State should collect rams and other food items if presented to them in any form by the government.”
