The second court session is ongoing, at the trial of Senate President, Bukola Sraaki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Saraki is being tried on a 13-count charge of false assets declaration and corruption – discovered in documents submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau during his tenure as Kwara State Governor.
The Senate President has about 19 Senators, present in court on Wednesday, to give him moral support.

Some of the prominent senators with Saraki are; Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president; Sam Anyanwu, Dino Melaye and Andy Uba.
While the number of Senators reduced from the 23 who were in attendance on Tuesday, the Senate President maintained his number of lawyers, which still stands at 90.

Chairman of the tribunal, Danladi Umar had on the previous sitting, ruled that the trial should continue today to enable the prosecution conclude with his first witness.
The first prosecution witness in the trial is Micheal Wetkast, a Principal Detective Superintendent of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
