Google is in the habit of using Doodles to commemorate an event taking place. It is also used to mark anniversaries of sorts.

Today is the Nigerian presidential elections and in their usual fashion, the default Google Doodle for the Nigerian domain, www.google.com.ng is a spinning ballot box painted in the Nigerian National colors.
