Shehu Sani sent thugs to attack our leaders – APC

The All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State has alleged that suspended senator, Shehu Sani sent thugs to attack executive members of the party at the APC secretariat.

Acting State Secretary of the party, Yahaya Baba-Pate on Sunday said the thugs tried to disrupt a meeting meant to ratify the suspension of the senator.

According to Baba-Pate, the hoodlums arrived the secretariat of the party along Ali Akilu Road at about 11.30am but were dispatched by a detachment of armed policemen.

Baba-Pate explained, “Some hired thugs who wore T-shirts and fez caps with Senator Sani’s portrait came to attack our exco members and people at the state secretariat of the party.

“We had to alert the police who came and dispersed them and security was beefed up.”

However, a Political Adviser to the senator, Suleiman Ahmed said the senator’s supporters were only at the secretariat to solidarise with the senator but not to attack anybody.

Ahmed said, “Supporters of the senator were at the secretariat and they were only singing and expressing their support for him and they never attacked the secretariat. I have the CD and I’m ready to play it for you to hear because we recorded what transpired there.”
