A teenage student has reportedly lost his life in South Africa after he was beaten to death by a teacher.
The unidentified teacher is said to have flogged 16-year-old Sizwe Kubheka on his head with a belt because he made a noise.
Sizwe was severely injured after the incident and he was even partially deaf according to his mother, Maria Khubeka.
She said:
“My boy was deaf just before he died. He couldn’t even hear or see us when we spoke with him at his bedside”
The young student was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
Corporal punishment is illegal in South Africa and the teacher in question might now be facing a murder charge.
