Actions have consequences, as we are reminded in the upcoming film “Farmer’s Bride,” which is set for release in nationwide cinemas on September 27.
Set in the 1980s in Ibadan, a wealthy and lonely farmer named Odun, with no surging immediate family except his late brother’s wife and son, chooses to marry a young girl from the next village.
The young girl, opposing the marriage proposal, brings the man strife, headache and discomfort after marriage as she had been married to the farmer by her mother without her consent.
The “Farmer’s Bride” is directed by Jack’enneth Opukeme Adebayo Tijani and stars Mercy Aigbe, Shaffy Bello, Tobi Bakre, Efe Irele, Femi Branch, Wumi Toriola, Gbugbemi Ejeye, Mide Funmi Martins, and more.
The film will be released on September 27 to all cinemas across the country.
