Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1 Joachim MacEbong
The rainy season has got Nigerians disputing that pesky subject we prefer to forget until the rains drum it into our consciousness: drainage.
Here’s how that conversation went.
Lagosians are not ready for what it will take to solve the drainage issue. Lots of houses built on drains will have to go.

2. Editi Effiong
Lekki Expressway, one of the most expensive Lagos State road projects projects, doesn't have proper drainage! Let's begin there!
— Editi Effiòng (@EditiEffiong) July 6, 2017
Lagos state government complains about people building on drains, yet will still go to those "illegal" houses and post Land Use Charge tags.
— Editi Effiòng (@EditiEffiong) July 6, 2017
Exactly what I said in my 2nd response to @je_mc2
How do u expect cooperation from citizens after such glaring incompetence?— Tunde Leye (@tundeleye) July 6, 2017
The incompetence is there. But irrespective, removing certain structures is part of the solution going forward. That's all I'm saying.
— The Runner (@je_mc2) July 6, 2017
If the government have valid permits, then obviously they have to compensate.
— The Runner (@je_mc2) July 6, 2017
So the govt should get to work. Isn't that why we pay these hefty taxes they demand?
— Tunde Leye (@tundeleye) July 6, 2017
The floods and the disruption they cause are unsustainable. We are past due for an end to end plan that solves the problem permanently.
— The Runner (@je_mc2) July 6, 2017
I read abt how cities solved these problems. They didn't have two heads and were not less complex. But they did it. LASG shlda get to work
— Tunde Leye (@tundeleye) July 6, 2017
'Proper'? You're giving it too much credit.

yh Lekki Epe constructed at the cost of 1 billion per km. Filled with potholes, no drainage.. Lost two tyres this morning.

3. Dr Joe Abah
Speaking of consciousness, Dr Joe Abah is not here to serve trolls
Some people feel they have a right to invade your consciousness with their negativity, pessimism and bitterness. Please kindly block me.
— Dr. Joe Abah (@DrJoeAbah) July 6, 2017
Tell ’em, doc.
4.Joy Reid
Is Trump’s government caving in on him?
First he disguises a cry for help as trolling. And that did not end well. Now we hear this.
Literally just got a tip from a GOP source that the head of the Office of Government Ethics would resign. I think the news is just breaking.

Watch out, man.

As the world begins to turn their back on oil dependence, tweeps wonder what the future holds for Nigeria.

7. AfroVII makes a case against 50 cent
50 Cent is the most dangerous kind of man. He's doing everything Jay Z raps about but he deride it as golf course Music.
— T. Rankïn' ∆ (@AfroVII) July 6, 2017
50 Cent is a hater, he's never going to stop. It actually disgusts me.
