Woman ‘kills man for jilting her’ in Delta

The Police in Delta State has arrested a middle-aged man identified as  Solomon Sunday for  the alleged murder of one Obi Agada over another woman.

According to the police, the suspect Mr. Sunday was reported to have hit the victim’s head with a plank after a scuffle.

Confirming the incident was, the Delta Police image-maker, DSP Charles Muka said the suspect and the lady has been arrested and will soon appear in court.

The Nation reports:
According to Muka, the deceased became weak after the attack by the assailant and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Muka said the lady, Alice Akwe, in a confessional statement claimed to have been in the bathroom when the incident occurred, adding that she met the deceased on the ground unconscious.
Muka said the lady admitted that the suspect was her husband but had been separated from him after a turbulent relationship that produced no child.
She said despite the separation from the suspect he had refused to let her have peace.
The two arrested suspects are assisting the police in investigation, the police have said.
The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Agbor General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
