Nigeria’s stock market crashes to lowest level in 2 years

by James Sambo

Nigeria’s stock market has hit its lowest level in over two years as the bears continue to run riot.

For the seventh straight day, the country’s stocks nosedived, bringing the all-share index to the lowest level in more than 24 months.

Led by financial and material stocks, the all-share benchmark fell to 1.4 per cent to 27,552.5 on Friday, February 13.

The stock market crash was caused by several factors, which are; the persistent slump in oil prices and the Boko Haram insurgency.
