The Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, will take over from National Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu, who has resigned.
Following intense pressure from party leaders, stakeholders and governors, Mu’azu finally decided to step down from his position.
Mu’azu wrote a letter to Secondus, saying that due to the poor performance of the party during the March 28 Presidential election, it became pertinent for him to go in order for peace to reign in the PDP.
Consequently, he asked Secondus to step in as acting National Chairman in line with the party’s constitution.
