“Where’s the N5,000 you promised old people, unemployed graduates?” | PDP asks Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party has asked the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress to start delivering on its campaign promises.

The PDP inquires of the APC-led Federal Government when it would start paying old people and unemployed graduates, the N5,000 stipend it promised during the election campaign.

This was said by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo, in response to a recent statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

Mohammed had declared that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration had within its six weeks in power, restored the Nigerian dream.

Jalo, however, said Nigerians were still waiting for the change the APC promised.

While speaking with Punch Newspapers on Wednesday, Jalo said: “Nigerians are still expecting the change the APC promised. It is not a time to make excuses, Nigerians want results.

“Where is the N5, 000 Naira they promised unemployed graduates and our old people? They said our government left an empty treasury. Where did the money for the bailout of states come from?”
