Read the Punch Newspapers report below:

The two counts read in part, “That you, Kola Oladipupo, Ekene Ezenwa, Jude Ezeobi, Lukman Olamide, on the 23rd day of June, 2013 at about 0430hrs, at NEPA B/stop, Ijora Badia, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District did conspire together to commit felony to wit: murder and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 231 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.”

The accused plea was not taken as it was a capital offence.

The prosecutor, Cousin Adam, filed application for their remand for 30 days, pending the advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution.

Despite the objection of the defence counsel to the long period of remand, the magistrate, Mr. K.O Ogundare, observed that where the law was clear, he did not have discretion.

He granted the application for remand, while the matter was adjourned till August 13 for trial.

  1. OPC are all thugs.they are worst than Boko haram

  2. This is barbarism and is totally unacceptable. For civilization sake, cases like this should attract general condemnation from society and treated in no less manner by the court. This is murder with malice aforethought.
