The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said it would bounce back despite ‘intimidation’ by the Federal Government.
The group said this in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful on Monday in Awka.
What IPOB said:
- No amount of intimidation would stop the agitation for the independent republic of Biafra.
- It said the declaration of IPOB as a terrorist organisation and the proscription of its activities was null and void.
- Only referendum will stop the agitation for Biafra.
- The new Abia State Commissioner of Police was playing a rehashed script.
The group said, “We the family of Indigenous People of Biafra and its leadership worldwide under the command and leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to place on record that the newly appointed Commissioner of Police posted to Abia State is trying very hard to please his Northern Arewa masters…”
