President Muhammady Buhari has congratulated President-elect of Gambia, Adama Barrow.
Buhari congratulated Barrow on Monday in a telephone conversation.
“I spoke with Gambian President-Elect Mr Adama Barrow on the phone this afternoon, to personally congratulate him on his victory,” Buhari tweeted.
Barrow beat incumbent President, Yayha Jammeh, who has ruled the West-African for the past 22 years in the nation’s election.
Jammeh, who conceded defeat to Barrow on Friday in a telephone conversation wished his successor a peaceful reign as president.
