President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the probe of projects executed by the nine federal universities established by the past administration.

According to The Leadership, Buhari, who stated this during the maiden Convocation of Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi said his administration will not condone corruption in the Federal Universities.

The President, who was represented by the Executive Secretary National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Rasheed Adamu Abubakar stressed that universities must be an example in good governance and financial management.

“There should be no room for corruption in the academic sector. Very soon, we will take a tour of all projects executed by our new federal universities to
ensure that funds allocated to them are judiciously utilised. Our universities must be an example in good governance and financial management. So, no room for corruption in the academic sector’’.
