Nigerian artist David Adeleke (Davido) announced his upcoming wedding (June 25) with his long-time fiancée, Chioma Rowland, by sharing their pre-wedding photoshoot on his social media platforms.

The pictures, though elegant, have stirred conversations on the internet as Nigerians are divided over whether to congratulate the couple or fear for the coming days of their matrimony.

While at her bridal shower, Davido surprised Chioma by attending her bridal shower. This act left everyone talking as Chioma danced to Iyanya’s performance at the event.

Wizkid prays for all “understanding women”

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Wizkid took to social media in the early hours of Monday morning to say a short prayer to all “understanding women”, saying that their kings love them.

“Saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth, your king loves you,” he said.

Nigerians speculate that Wizkid might have thrown a jab at Davido and Chioma’s pre-wedding photoshoot, as Davido is known to be a flirt with a history of womanising and cheating on Chioma.

However, while Wizkid has said nothing to buttress his point, he has posted pictures of his children before ending his rant on social media.

Sophia Momodu addresses child custody lawsuit with Davido

Sophia Momodu, the baby mama to Davido’s child, Imade, came out to clear the air concerning the circulating child custody suit that Davido had filed against her.

In her statement, Sophia Momodu argued that she had never held Imade away from Davido’s reach as the lawsuit declared he’d always had access to his daughter.

However, she did say that the only thing she denied the ‘Unavailable’ singer was her body, as he had allegedly repeatedly threatened to make her life miserable if she refused him access to her body for sexual intercourse.

Funke Akindele speaks her mind on ‘Baddies’ without substance

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele was the guest on Arise TV. On this local TV channel, she shared her mind on issues concerning women and how best to go about being a successful woman in your career.

She did, however, say that she did not understand the trend with Nigerian women who identified as “Baddies”, as to her, being a baddie meant living a luxurious lifestyle with the nicest clothes and finest things while not aiming to achieve anything substantial for themselves.

She called on women to try and become baddies who have a goal and dreams to achieve rather than go on social media, posting narcissistic images of themselves.
