The Department of State Services has commenced the clandestine screening of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees.
Not less than 20 nominees have so far, been vetted by operatives of the DSS operatives since the start of the screening.
Punch Newspapers reports that the President sent 36 names of the prospective ministers for security checks to the DSS.
However, the identities of the nominees are said to be closely guarded.
The screening process by the DSS involves background checks on the careers of the nominees and their records with anti-graft and security agencies.
