A former Minister for Aviation, Bagudu Hirse, who was abducted by gunmen around the home of Mamman Daura has regained his freedom.
His brother John Hirse confirmed his released to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Jos on Saturday.
He said, “Bagudu was released in the early hours of Saturday.
He said the former aviation minister was “hale and hearty”, and thanked Nigerians for their prayers and words of encouragement “during the trỳing period”.
“May God reward everyone who stood by us during the tough period,” he said.
Bagudu was abducted on November 20 when he visited Daura to condole with him on the death of late Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki.
