France’s foreign minister travels Cameroun to greet French family after their release by Boko Haram (PHOTO)

France Foreign minister, Laurent Fabius is in Yaounde, capital of Cameroon today to meet the French family celebrating their freedom from Boko Haram’s snare.

The family of seven which includes four children aged between 5 and 12, were “all healthy” according to President Paul Biya who announced the release.

The family were captured in northern Cameroon February 19 while visiting the Waza National Park and Islamic sect, Boko Haram had released a disturbing video afterwards demanding the release of their own members imprisoned or they were going to kill the family.

President Biya had announced that the family were “handed over last night to Cameroonian authorities”.

Members of the family who moved to Cameroon in 2011 included; Tanguy Moulin-Fournier, the husband and his wife Albane, as well as their four sons, Eloi, Andeol, Mael and Clarence while Tanguy’s brother, Cyril Moulin-Fournier was on vacation and with them from Spain.

Tanguy has been working there overseeing the construction of a liquid natural gas plant.
