I really look forward to becoming a mother to my adorable kids someday just like every young girl’s dream. Those beautiful aww moments when I see a very cute kid with his or her mother and you just blush and blush till your cheek aches. I love kids and even much more when they are adorable.
Even as I look forward to having you my darlings, I really pray to become the best mum to you kids. I am not perfect and I will surely make mistakes but one thing is for sure I will love you with all of my being.
I think about how we were raised in my generation and I will have to make some little changes to that in raising you all especially in our perceptions on getting an education.
I am really working hard to make sure you have the best. In fact, I have started making some investments to your future and am sure your father is too. I will send you to the best of schools not just to get an education but to get a life. Whatever it is you want to be, just know that mum has got your back. I will certainly not send you to school just to get good grades and a job after…NEVER. You don’t always have to be a doctor or an engineer to succeed in life. If you love music, I will send you to the best music school in the world. If you love fashion, I will send you to the best fashion school sin the word. I just want you to know that you can be all that you ever want to be irrespective of what you studied in school. I am in no way discrediting the value of an education but I want you to know that education is not a means to an end.
EDUCATION IS A MUST. Even if you want to be a greater footballer than Ronaldo, there is no excuse at all.
So whenever you have summer breaks from school, I am not sending you to summer school, I will love you all to learn something handy; playing instruments like the piano, guitar and drums, learning how to play football professionally, baking and all of that. Variety is the spice of life jare. I want you to be well rounded in so many areas.
It doesn’t means that you will start getting bad grades in school though. Your mum had really good grades in school. I won’t sweat it but you can’t just afford to be an olodo. It’s just not possible, your parents are highly intelligent people o.
I want you to be knowledgeable and well-read not just in terms of getting a good education. I want you to know about space, about different continents and diverse cultures. There are so many things your teachers wont teach you in school that I will love you take interest in. My definition of an intelligent kid goes beyond having the A grades or being the first in your class. I will be proud if you are the brainees in your classes too. I repeat again, I won’t sweat if you are not.
I have seen really clever 7 year old kids discuss football with adults and I have been really impressed. There is no excuse to be dull my dear. I will love you to learn your father’s language first and other languages too. I don’t want you to be like your mum that can’t speak her native dialect. Have fun, there is more to life o. I want you to be bubbling and full of life. BE SOCIABLE, I want to see you interacting with your peers and be so proud of you.
I promise that you will have a great and amazing father.
