Here’s how the #DontLeaveMeChallenge is turning into the funniest so far

The word ‘Challenge’ usually denotes something competitive. An event where a winner emerges, and someone (or persons in some cases) loses.

Thanks to social media, ‘Challenge’ as a word appears to be taking a new meaning. Social media Challenges are a fun way to engage active users. Whether you are creating content or watching it, they’ve proven to be fun for everyone. For these users, any hashtag with the word ‘Challenge’ as its suffix, usually breeds excitement and with the lockdown, social media challenges have become rampant. Having little to do while at home, you might as well join the fun.

Quite importantly, with the Tik Tok app; a platform almost exclusively built for challenges, the ideas on what to hop on to next have become numerous. We saw it with the #DontRushChallenge, a challenge many used to show off their wardrobe.

And the #FlipTheSwitchChallenge, which sees people dress in the attire of the opposite sex. All of these easily became global trends.

Lately, a new challenge has erupted on social media, one that many have said requires you to be very clever.

It is basically a pun challenge, where an individual and maybe some friends make clever puns before going bonkers afterwards.

Those that don’t want to make a video, but want to participate can simply tweet their pun using the hashtag and everyone would get it.

So far, the puns being put out are hilarious and everyone with a thing for comedy is jumping on this. Also, this is the challenge that originated in Nigeria and seems to be spreading outside.
