Recently, CNN’s Isha Sesay sat down with three girls schooling in Northern Nigeria to know how they have been faring since the kidnap of over 230 schoolgirls abducted in Chibok, Borno state.
The three girls disclosed that all students did not feel safe at school anymore, and they now rush home every day after school avoiding any extra-curricular activities.
Although they understood the need to go to school to fulfill their dreams of becoming accomplished in life, the three girls agreed that most of the girls in the North now prefer staying at home and just be mothers.
Over 230 young girls were kidnapped from their school in Borno by Boko Haram militants 3 weeks ago.
So far, people from near and afar have gathered at protest points all over the world urging the Nigerian federal government to step up the search for the abducted girls.
