Ali Haruna, a 25-year-old man was yesterday arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on one-count charge of illegally entering a church with charms.

The man who was arrested by the police attached to the Maroko Police Division, Lekki, Lagos was accused of entering the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, situated on Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos with charms strapped to his waist.

Haruna who is from Kano was said to have reportedly told the police during interrogation that he was in the church to pray to God.

He, however, could not give a satisfactory answer when asked what he was doing in the church with charms fastened to his waist. Haruna, who claimed to be a Muslim, could also not say exactly when he started worshiping in the church.

The church members suspected him to have entered the church to perpetrate evil.

This is a curious case of worshiping at the wrong altar.

  3. Nigerian muslims will not react now, bcos wea awaiting yr usual characteristic funny reaction. Imagin that it was a christian that was cought with charms inside a mosque say on Friday…Haaaaa, the commotion will be terrible,. There will be fire and thunderstorm. In fact they will declare world war 10 to stat. It wil lb a total impossible effort for muslims thinking that they can over run Nigeria with their idiosyncrasy. Absolute Nonsense. U had better allow peace to reign in Nigeria otherwise……..
