After his infamous comment about fellow party member, Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s wife on the floor of the Senate, Senator Dino Melaye is back with another nugget for Nigerians to feed on.
This time, it is Minister of Works, Housing and Power, Babatunde Raji Fashola, who is also a fellow party member, that takes the indirect flak from Senator Melaye.
According to the senator, he woke up on Saturday morning with Nigeria on his mind and more precisely- the erratic nature of the country’s power supply which seems to have a taken a nosedive since the House of Assembly directed that the NERC and power distribution companies should stop the proposed hike in electricity tariff.
While stressing that the issue of power should be a priority in Nigeria, he noted that stable power supply would herald in an industrial revolution in the country.
He charged party leader, President Muhammadu Buhari in addition to being the President of Nigeria and also the Minister of Petroleum, to take over Fashola’s role as Minister of Power to ensure that the sector is revamped and made to work.
