Fourteen permanent secretaries, in the Jigawa state public service, have been retired with immediate effect.
This was contained in a press release statement signed by the state Head of Service, Alhaji Inuwa Tahir, on Thursday at Dutse, the state capital.
The statement, however, did not give any reason for the retirement, but instead stated that the retirement was with immediate effect.
The statement also announced that the state Governor, Muhammad Badaru, who approved the retirement of the permanent secretaries, also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Chaichai as Special Adviser, Due Process and project Monitoring Bureau, and Alhaji Bala Yar-Gaba as Special Adviser, Guidance and Counselling.
