President Muhammadu Buhari has told Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to continue his duties as acting president.

Buhari, who returned on Friday, said at a meeting with Osinbajo and top government officials that he chose the weekend so as to allow Osinbajo continue his role as acting president while he rests.

“I deliberately came back towards the weekend, so that the Vice President (Yemi Osinbajo) will continue and I will continue to rest. All I will need is to do further follow ups within some weeks.”
