The case against Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court just got messier, as she has been accused of allegedly receiving N5m from a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), The Punch reports.
According to sources with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the SAN has been invited.
A detective in the EFCC said, “We have evidence that Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia collected N5m from a senior advocate. We have invited him (the SAN) and he is supposed to appear this week.”
The judge has been having a running battle with the anti-graft agency. She failed to honour an invitation from the commission, and her house was later raided by some EFCC operatives.
