A supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan known as Mr Aye-Dee believes that the interview held by CNN’s Christine Amanpour with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, was orchestrated by the opposition party in cahoot with the United States Department of state.
Mr Aye-Dee, a Twitter user, believes that Amanpour was acting at the behest of the APC, saying that the questions she directed at him were “softball questions” designed to push the narrative of the opposition party.
In essence, he implies that the veteran journalist is in league with Nigeria’s major opposition party and the US State Department.
Below is the assertion by Mr Aye-Dee;
“Fellow Nigerians, earlier this evening, CNN’s Christine Amanpour conducted an interview with Muhammadu Buhari on CNN.
Purpose of the interview was to negate Goodluck Jonathan’s narrative from his media chat by asking Buhari softball questions designed to push APC’s narrative.
I think it’s important for Nigerians to know that when it comes to foreign affairs, Amanpour’s reputation is that of a hired hand for Obama’s State Department.”“Christiane Amanpour is married to former US Assistant Secretary of State James Rubin. He is currently a top adviser to Hillary Clinton (Hillary refused to designate Boko Haram a terrorist organization when she was Secretary of State). As a result of this Christiane Amanpour is the Obama administration’s Gal Friday when it comes to pushing State Department approve narratives on international media.”
“With what we’ve learnt recently about how AKPD, the organization run by David Axelrod, Obama’s chief strategist has been running APC’s campaign in Nigeria, it’s no surprise to see Christiane Amanpour interview Buhari on CNN. Answers by Buhari aside, during the interview, Amanpour effectively co-signed at least three major APC campaign narratives:
1) Corruption is at an all time high in Nigeria (Simply untrue, watch the GEJ interview to see why).
2) Buhari is running neck and neck against GEJ (also untrue).
3) Nigeria is losing the war against the Boko Haram insurgency (totally untrue)”
“I personally believe that when it comes to politics, it should strictly be Nigeria for Nigerians, and it’s shameful that AKPD’s influence peddling on behalf of the APC not only affects Obama’s foreign policy (reduction in oil purchases, refusal to sell arms, cancellation of military training agreements with Nigeria), but also the pushing of APC friendly (albeit false) narratives on international media.”

yeah….i love the comment from all of especially AyodeleJacobs and co…..u hit d target at d bull eye, keep it up
It’s no longer US frustrating this present government, it is now Amanpour working for APC. It will soon be the entire world against them. Dirty talk, dirty mind, dirty people accusing just about everyone, everything. This is what happens when an expectation too high is cut down drastically. They never expected the opposition to be this strong.
Lol, never heard a more confused person! All of a sudden, CNN is partnering with APC. CNN must therefore also be partnering with all the opposition parties all over the world!
Gej is a problem to the whole Nigeria entirely
Is this guy a Nigerian or is he also among the corrupt individuals in Nigeria?
Mr Aye dee or whatever- you’re as confused as the clueless president Jonatan.
For everyone who dares see the truth and says it automatically becomes APC goons right? Will the intelligent watchdog of the world (CNN-AMANPOUR) sees smthg wrong and carpets it or How can the clueless party called pdPigs ever erroneously imagine pple to support their foolishness and their confused administration?
Well, should GEJ feel otherwise let his Sycophantic Doyin Oku – igbe and Rueben Abati make a placement of same interview with amanpour maybe nextweek and let the clueless President go and disgrace himself and the rest of his PDPigs before the world’s most popular television station… infact an arrangement for Callers into the program should be made available, GEJ ll defecate on the chair provided him, I bet you cos it’ll be more than a hot seat for him perhaps he’ll have to pass out there even…
A President that hates being interviewed by Nigerian Journalists dares not attempt CNN’s else …
