Flat plunge … witnesses heard a loud bang as man dropped 14 floors
This wrecked and blood-spattered car marks the spot where a man’s 14-floor plunge came to an abrupt end.
The 28-year-old was lucky to have a slightly-cushioned fall after he plummeted off the block of flats.
Instead of dying on the concrete pavement he smashed into the roof of a parked Honda Civic – which probably saved his life.
A loud bang was heard by residents at around 1pm on the street in the Portuguese town of Quarteira.

Paramedics amazingly found the man conscious and talking. Blood can be seen on the back of the car and bumper.
He was taken to a local hospital in Faro with an open facture to his foot where his condition was stable.
Police said they are investigating the incident but are not looking for any suspects.
