A 25-year-old man, Mansir Sani, has been remanded in prison for allegedly defiling a 12 year-old boy.
According to the prosecutor, Mr Suleiman Danladi, the man lured the boy to the veranda of Amadu Tijjani Islamic Centre, located at Kofar Mata Quarters, Kano, where he forcefully had intercourse with the boy through his anus.
The defendant who was charged with unnatural offence, contrary to Section 284 of the Penal Code pleaded not guilty.
Sani was ordered to be remanded in prison by the Chief Magistrate, Muhammad Jibril, and adjourned the case till Sept. 29 for mention.
