British born Nigerian singer Bukola Damola had a childhood of sorts. Being of Yoruba and Delta ethnicity, she was raised in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and England. Perhaps as a tribute to her Itsekiri roots she decided to go with the stage-name Ebisan.
As a student in England, she pursued her passion for music by joining school choirs and working as a session singer and a wedding singer. Now settled in Nigeria, Ebisan is dedicated to making nothing but beautiful and soulful music for all to enjoy. You may have heard her on rapper Beazy‘s ‘Beazy Music Monday’ tracks, but her official foray into the Nigerian music scene was through the title track for the critically acclaimed movie, ‘Tango with Me’ titled ‘Suru’ and ‘Dance with Me’.
