The Nigerian Senate, on Tuesday expressed its support the N145 proposed by th federal government as the new pump price of fuel.
According to Premium Times, the senate came to the conclusion following the disclosure of the decision reached executive
by an executive session.
While announcing the decisions of the executive session, the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, stated that: “The Senate sympathise with the people of Nigeria on the hardship brought by the hike.”
Ekweremadu further said the senate will engage the federal government on how to implement and sustain the policy.
He also said that the presidency should begin implementing the social intervention policies as approved in the 2016 budget so as to minimize the suffering of Nigerians.
