Nigeria will not experience fuel scarcity anymore – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said the country will never experience fuel scarcity anymore.

Ndu Ughamadu, NNPC spokesman in a statement said Ikem Obih, chief operating officer, downstream, and alternate chairman of the corporation board, made the promise in Abuja.

He said Maikanti Baru, group managing director, has directed Petroleum Products Marketing Company(PPMC) to ensure steady petrol supply during the holidays.

“The festive season is fast approaching, a period when almost always, people expect queues to happen,” Baru was quoted to have said.

“If last year you had a queue-free festive season, we want this year’s to be a season where fuel station attendants will be inviting motorists to their stands for fuelling.”

Baru charged the PPMC management to cut down the company’s operating cost so as to add value to the corporation.
