The Nigerian music space is never in shortage of talented new artists and one of them is up and coming singer “Winny Adanu”

The singer came to the notice of the music industry and music enthusiasts when she dropped her debut EP “Winny” a fusion that blends dancehall with R&B. 

Popularly known as Winny, her unique way of blending reggae and Afro music, in a new direction which she termed “Afro reggae” has put her on the spotlight for many Nigerians as a new artist with the potential to become bigger. 

In Interviews, Winny has said she draws a large part of her inspiration from Jamaican artists like Kranium and Chronixx and from afrobeats star, Wizkid. 

Winny’s journey in music started as far back as 2014, and while the singer only dropped her ep in 2023, she has had a passion for music for years, which made it only right for her to be one of the artists selected by Apple Music as “Up Next artists in Nigeria” which highlights her passion and potential to succeed in the industry.

Her latest project was a feature in Reekado Bank’s album, with a song called “2WFL” Winny is definitely an artist to look out for.
