She’s ready to go!
One of Nigeria’s foremost bloggers, Linda Ikeji has put all that hoopla behind her – right after her blog was restored by Google.
Since the inception of her blog, Linda has been operating it alone, but following the episode of the past week, she is ready to employ reporters and photographers to work on her platform.
On Friday, 10 October, Linda put up a ‘now hiring’ post on her blog. Below is an excerpt of the post.
“Okay, I’m finally going to be recruiting staff for LIB. I’m really proud that I did this alone & brought myself to number one in Nigeria..really proud! With, of course, the help of loyal LIB readers. I am grateful to you guys. But now it’s time to expand. Get reporters and photojournalists to work for LIB, so I can get more exclusive content. This experience has really jolted me. Lol.”
“So if you’re a reporter or even someone passionate about news creporting or you think you can source for news for LIB, then please send an email to lindaikejiads@gmail.com. Please don’t send to me, I’m very bad at replying emails. lol. I get so many, it’s hard to read everything. And some even go to junk and spam that I never get to see. OK, so contact us. Let’s do this! “
I WANT A JOB PLEASE.
To job seekers: there’s really no point applying for
the new Linda Ikeji reporters and photojournalists
vacancies. The recruitment method is mediocre at
best and like Immigrations she’d get overwhelmed
by the tons of application and the process will
eventually come to naughts. While awaiting the
big one you’d do well to instead pick up what ever
volunteer gig you can find or self study if it’s
feasible in your field.
Linda should outsource the process. And with
supply outnumbering demand the consultancy
should be very picky with candidate requirements
and cook up some type of ingenious preliminary
task to cut down numbers and leave only the
cream of the pack for consideration.
