President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday expressed his administration’s intention to deliver on his 2011 campaign promises this year by giving members of his cabinet the option to either perform or resign.
Sources say the president did not mince words in telling members of his cabinet to accelerate development in their ministries to satisfy the yearnings of Nigerians who are getting increasingly impatient with the perceived slow pace of his administration.
According to a source, “the president drew the attention of his cabinet members to the negative public perception of the government.
“He told them that although most of the criticisms against the administration were being orchestrated by the opposition for some selfish reasons, the ministers must keep tab with his transformation agenda to ensure that most of the things said against the administration are proved wrong at the end of the day.”
The minister of information, Labaran Maku, while briefing State House correspondents after the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting for the year, confirmed the report saying the president had ordered them all to buckle up.
“Mr President gave us a marching order to work harder, faster and deliver results. He said we must all buckle up and make sure all our agencies deliver results,” Maku reportedly said.

Criticisms normally come from oppositions, they should however be constructive which I believe the president knew they were. Their selfish reason is to unseat you Oga Sir.
