Former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido was on Tuesday morning docked for allegedly inciting violence, PremiumTimes reports.
Lamido was docked on a four-count charge at a court in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
He has been accused of inciting his supporters ahead of the local government elections set to hold in Jigawa on July 1.
Lamido was arrested by the police in Kano on Sunday morning.
A security officer on the trip to Dutse said “we left Kano for Dutse around 5.30am, and as I speak to you, we are already in Dutse for formal arraignments of the former Governor “.
