The Presidency says it would re-submit the $29.96bn loan request rejected by the Senate on Tuesday, according to Reuters.

Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed made the disclosure to reporters on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said, “It is not unusual for the government and the Senate to have some disagreements, they want more information.

“We will give them all the information they need … and we are sure that by the time we finish they (lawmakers) will approve the request.”
