Just as speculated, the musical legend passed on as a result of drugs overdose.

According to TMZ – who broke the news, Prince died from an overdose of opiods.

The website said Prince was killed by a certain drug called ‘Fentanyl – a powerful synthetic opiate that is more potent than morphine which is often used for cancer patients to deal with severe pain.’

The Midwest medical examiner’s office has released the official report via its Twitter page.
