Alright Ray J, it’s time to admit it — “I Hit It First” is DEFINITELY about Kim Kardashian. The just released music video confirms that from second one by featuring a Kim K look-alike along with a ton of heavy-handed, overt references to the reality TV star and her current boyfriend, Kanye West. You have to watch it!
Ray J Overtly Disses Kim Kardashian In ‘I Hit It First’ Video
It’d be one thing to just have a look-alike of your ex in your video (even Chris Brown does that), but in case we didn’t get the message that he’s singing about Kim, Ray J bludgeons us over the head.
Throughout the video there are shots of the Kim K look-alike rolling around in a bed while a handheld camera films her, as if Ray J is yelling, “Remember that time me and Kim Kardashian made a sex tape!?”
“I Hit It First” also shows a quick shot at Kanye, showing a highway sign with the words “West” and “Chicago” written on them just as Ray J is singing the words, “chose to go West.”
And as the video winds down, Ray J watches his look-alike being chased by paparazzi as part of a show broadcast on the fake network, F! (you know, like the letter after E!). Ray J then turns to the camera and gives a knowing nod before the screen fades to black.
Ray J: Just Admit It!
Ray J’s new video wouldn’t make us that angry if he hadn’t played dumb and admitted what the song was really about. “It’s a song, it’s not about that,” Ray J told Hot 97.1 on April 8.
But Ray J, how can you sing those lines and shoot this video and then pretend it’s just a song? Come clean, Ray J!
